PHDS Co.
About

HPGe detector expertise, built from the ground up.

PHDS Co. is a Knoxville-based instrumentation company specializing in HPGe detector systems. Our team has decades of combined experience designing detector systems for national labs, utilities, and field operations.

PHDS Co. was founded in 2004, built on detector technology and expertise developed at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. For over two decades, we have designed and manufactured compact HPGe gamma-ray detectors for government agencies, national laboratories, and field programs that require definitive isotope identification.

Our customer install base includes national laboratories, Department of Energy sites, commercial waste assay companies, radiopharmaceutical producers, and many more. We work directly with the end users who put our systems to work, which means support calls reach the people who understand your specific application and problem.

We are a direct manufacturer, not a reseller. Every system that ships is designed and built by the PHDS Engineering team.
